EIGHTEAM is the second in a series sports films programmed by Folayemi Brown and Deptford Cinema.
Written and directed by Juan Rodriguez-Briso, it narrates the journey of the Chipolopolo (''Copper Bullets'' in the Bemba language) Zambia National team. It starts with the tragedy of losing all 18 members of the promising Olympic team in a plane crash off the Gabonese coast. But eighteen years later, destiny winks back at Zambia in Gabon. The film won Best Documentary at Africa International Film Festival 2015.
We also hope to screen the final of AFCON 2017 after the screening at 7pm.
